Redefining
dentistry.

Here’s why we’re different.

our
approach

At Moxy Dental, we don’t just treat the what, we treat the why. Instead of treating patients reactively with drilling techniques and toxic procedures, we treat patients proactively, by identifying the root cause of the issue and then repairing it in the least invasive way possible.

Our holistic approach to dentistry means considering the health of the whole patient. Almost every system in your body is connected to your oral health, which means poor oral hygiene can affect your overall health.

In addition to other holistic measures we take, we place mercury-free biomimetic composites with the goal of preventing fracture and tooth loss. We also safely remove mercury fillings to reduce your exposure. Our goal is to provide you with minimally invasive procedures done with non-toxic materials while conserving most of the natural tooth that we can.

Biomimetic Dentistry

A type of tooth-conserving dentistry that treats weak, fractured, and decayed teeth in a way that keeps them strong and seals them from bacterial invasion. Dr. Smedley is the sole biomimetic dentist in Michigan.

Biological Dentistry

This is an attitude that applies to all aspects of dentistry. We strive to seek the safest, least toxic way to accomplish desired treatments that are mercury safe and fluoride-free. Dr. Meredith Smedley

Dr. Smedley received her DDS from the University of Toronto and has been practicing dentistry for over 20 years. After practicing a more traditional way of doing dentistry, she realized there could be better ways to treat decay without using harsh chemicals and drilling away at the teeth. As the sole biomimetic dentist in the state of Michigan, she offers a unique methodology that preserves as much as your natural tooth as possible.
